When I do things, I like to do them big. Sometimes, I am too big for my britches. Maybe it’s because I’m a Leo…or the eldest sibling. Or a Texan. Whatever the reason, it bites me in the butt sometimes or in the instance of this styled shoot, everything comes together beautifully and practically flawlessly!
It all started back in May, when I met Cecilia and Joyce of The Bridal Boutique. Heather Heen of Delish Makeup introduced us and during this introduction, we came up with the idea of doing a styled shoot. I then took the idea and freakin ran with it. It took about two months, but I successfully gathered over half a dozen vendors, two models, a stylist and a venue to be together for three hours on the 5th of August. I even had other photographers from all over the island come and take pictures! It was a blast and a relief to have done!
The furniture is from Magnolia’s in Kahala Mall. Beautiful furniture

The stool and the dresser are from Magnolia's. Built in the 1800's and standing strong!
The invitations were made by an Etsy shop owner, Jessica Lam and I just told her to make whatever she wanted. I know NOTHING about invitations and really didn’t feel like dwelling on it. I know I am tickled pink when clients give me the run of their session, so I just asked Jessica to do the same. Aren’t these FABULOUS?!?!!?!?!?!?!.png)

Everything else I received from Pier One!![]()

Finally, Tamara Rigney made this beautiful bouquet and boutineer.

It was a fantastic day, albeit a bit hot, but totally worth it! I had such a blast and thank you to everyone who believed I could do it. To the naysayers, whomp whomp, you lose!![]()

The Tuxedo is from Phil’s Tuxedo by Ward and the awesome and amazing Tyson Joines helped me with styling and keeping me calm. I think I overwhelmed him at time with my nail biting, terrible driving skills and forgetfulness. Thanks Tyson for being amazing and steady!

[...] Unfortunately, due to crazy schedules, “soon” turned into “a few months later”, but I decided that it was getting ridiculous and I needed to just shoot Ace, who had in the meantime been signed to Wilhelmina Hawaii on our recommendation. I wasn’t even his first shoot – he already had one under his belt as a groom for a stylized wedding shoot with Creatrix Photography! [...]
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that 4th to last photo. BUT ALL ARE SO FREAKING amazing! You did a wonderful job putting this together, Jenna!
Thank you!
